Crappy track + new car = crappy times. Took my new ride out to a local hole in the wall, Temple Academy Dragway. It is a terrible little track here in central texas, but it is the only one within 3 hours.
Anyway on this night full bolt on LSX Fbodies were running 13.2-13.4 around 105-106, a 6.0 Trans Am was running 13.1 @ 107mph. My buddy in his fully built mustang gt ran an 11.6 at San Antonio Raceway the weekend prior, best time he could get at this track was a 12.5. Like I said this track SUCKS!
My first pass ever in this car I launched at 2500rpms and bogged badly. 2.2 60ft and ran it out to a 12.9 @ 114.
Next pass I launched at 4000rpms and spun out of the hole on 315 DR's. Another 2.2 60ft netted a 12.7 @ 115mph.
I was running NA. My setup is a stock ls1 with a TSP 228R cam, full exhaust, lid/filter and an ASP underdrive pulley. Car made 410rwhp.
I am gunna throw the FAST 90 intake and 90mm throttle body on, get it retuned and take it to a better track. Hell if I get confident enough in the car I might hit it with the 150 shot next time.

Went back this weekend and got a best of 12.5 @ a little more solid 115. Last time was like a 114.8, this time was a 115.7.
I need more tire, better suspension cause the car just straight dont hook.

just curious...were those tires on 17" rims? what susp. mods?
i also wouldn't use another car's underpowered trap speed as any kind of comparison to how well the track is working.
i've raced on skating rinks as well as flytraps. both places gave about the same trap, but the et is what really suffered. i didn't lose 15mph being on a slick track.
