Default oes an Edelbrock Pro Flo XT really outflow the ls6?

I am very interested in the edelbrock pro flo xt intake manifold. Mainly because the ad I saw said the manifold produced 30 more hp than the ls6 manifold! Whether its true or not is to be seen. Anybody installed this on a stock internals motor? I have full bolt-ons minus a pulley, is this worth it? I read a nitrous horror story with this manifold involved, other than that...

Outflow doesn't always mean more power...... Are drag racing only?

The XT will make more power than the LS6 at 6000RPM+

It will also loose 20-25lbft of torque from 2500-5000.

Its just inherent in the design of a tunnel ram/sheet metal intake intake that the XT is designed after. I'm not a fan a so-so throttle response and general soggyness in the area I drive the most!! Only to get a few more then have to shift right back into the soggy area again.

Agree'd. You dont know what kind of motor it made more power on or what they were spinning the motor to. There are too many variables involved.

Just so you are informed, If you use the Pro flow, you will have to cut supports in hood and shim. You will also loose windshield wipers/ cut into cowl panel, Because of how tall this system is. Use the search for member "tripblackls1"

the xt is meant for trucks. yes it will outpower an ls6 intake. many truck guys are using it and only one has reported a loss in torque. and he has a crappy tuner. for the cars, you gotta cut up a camaro. lower the engine cradle in a gto, bubble hood on the vette and cts-v. edelbrock could have done a better job all around on this intake if they wanted to market it better
