pretty much what the title says...
i want to do a good wash/detail/wax polish and whatnot on the car...clean up some light scratches and swirl marks and bring out the shine. the car cleans up REAL NICE with just a normal soap/water but it deserves some TLC.
any of you vendors offer such a kit? do i have to use machine buffers? i'd much rather do it by hand

Get yourself a PC, they are very easy to use and you can get the results you are looking for without damaging the paint. I have buffed a lot of cars with my PC and have had great results with it. Look up showroomFX

PC is Porter Cable ( its the detailing buffer )
Sites like showroom fx and autogeek offer packages etc. There is tons of stuff and different detailers opinions on different combos and products. Hopefully one of the pros will lead you in the right direction .. ( because i'm still a detailing newbie )
