Engine and Tranny swap!!!! I have a 01 SS, and I'm about to get a 04 GTO engine and transmission. It only has 35xxxmiles on it. I dont know a lot about swapping engines and all that. My question is if i do a complete swap would everything fit up ok. I been asking around a few shops here in San Diego, but i would like some of your guy's opinions, and advise.

Things you will need to do:
- Swap f-body oil pan
- The balancer is the same, the accessories may need to be swapped
- Engine harness needs to be swapped to your f-body one
- Possibly change the motor mounts, I don't know if they are different
It should be pretty much a drop in, what tranny did you get? The GTO MN12 has slightly different gear ratio than the T56, so your computer might have to be retuned to compensate for that.
