How to polish headlights?
Like the subject says... I see so many pics of cars with crystal clear headlights and they look great. Mine are dull and scratched and look like crap, especially on a black car. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: How to polish headlights?
you know......mine are a little dull also...on close inspection, they almost look 'dryed out' on the inside...
I'd like to hear the answer to the posted question also.

For heavy dulling and discoloration you could take the headlight out of the car, and with a high speed buffer with a foam pad, and use either 3M Swirl Mark Remover and Machine Glaze or Meguires #2, #3, #9 and #7. If the scratches are pretty bad you could try wet sadning with 400 and 600 grit sandpaper. Oh and be carefull around the three alignment nubs! You dont want to break off one of those.
I actually took the rear lights and side marker lights out of my SS and sanded and polished off the annoying letters that get puked up with wax, now they are as smooth as glass! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />
