im going to be starting an ls1 and t56 swap in a car, and im wondering if its better (and cheaper) to just buy the used motor together with the motor. Or just find a corvette ls1 and then find a t56 somewhere else and just have to mate them together? also for a used ls1, is ebay the best place to look? any info would be great thanks

I wouldn't want a Corvette LS1. They are more expensive even though they are the same engine that comes in the F-body twins. I would find one out of an f-body personally. And it doesn't really matter if you buy them seperately as long as you get the f-body tranny. I heard the vette on is different since it mounts in the rear of the vehicle.
