Default Gas milage with new gears, for anyone that wondered

I recently installed a moser 12-bolt with 4.11's replacing the original 10-bolt with 3.42's. My in town milage has remained unaffected but haven't been able to test the highway milage till this weekend. Drove from Los Angeles to Las Vegas, 270 miles at 90mph average and used 9.5 gallons. (A little over 27mpg) My highway milage has actually improved since the gear install. I believe this is a result of needing less pedal in 6th gear to get the car to move. Rear has about 1000 miles on it now and not a peep of gear whine. I also gave it a good beating at LACR on Thursday. A half dozen 6000rpm clutch dumps with a spec stg3 on ET Streets and no signs of weakness. Just thought i'd post and let everyone know my experience that has considered buying a Moser rear. Happy New year everyone, gonna be a busy race year for me.

I didn't notice much of a fuel economy change when I installed 4.10s in my other car, either. I have also seen others report a fuel economy increase with the swap like you saw.

i dropped a little bit (about 2-3 mph average) on the highway, but roads are pretty flat around here so i didn't ever use much gas on the highway. around town i didn't notice a change at all. then, i put in the cam and it went to ****. hehe
