Default Cheap speakers for my vert . . .

Looking to replace the blown speakers on my 1998 Z28 drop top. This car does not have the monsoon system, and is currently running a CD headunit out of a 2000ish Chevy truck. I am not looking to upgrade the headunit at this time, since it works great.

I am assuming any full range 6.5" speaker will fit in the doors and rear seat area, correct? I listen to a lot of metal, which I know is hell on the woofers. Thinking about getting some of those "bass-blockers" to hopefully cut down on distortion and keep the woofers in one piece.

Any recommendations on what to get? Looking to spend under $100 a set.
