Question Camaro loose fender syndrome

I've noticed this in almost every used 4th gen Camaro I see...and now mine!
Why does the driver side fender piece below the SS or Z28 decal come loose and start to stick out? Where the body panel attaches to the underbody, between the wheel and the door.
I always thought it was due to wrecking or bottoming out your car, but I've never wrecked or scraped more than the splash guard . What in the duece! Maybe it's a design flaw.

Take some pliers under the car, and you will see the bent part that holds that peice straight.Just take your pliers and bend the peice pointing straight down .Happen to mine when someone jacked it up in the wrong place! That outa take care of it!

This is usually caused by lifting the car improperly, as posted above. Have you had your car serviced at the dealer lately, or had it somewhere where it was put up on a lift? I'm not sure exactly how one could fix it if it is severe. Just sucks that people have to be such dumbasses.

Thanks Landon, I guess I'm not the only person to miss something that simple. I guess the guys at the used car lots are just really lazy then.
