Default ATI Super Damper, what size?

As many of you know ATI makes an OE, 10% underdrive, and 25% underdrive Super Damper.

Which size is recommended for what application?

I see many jumped on the 25% pulleys when they were released, but when I called ATI' Tech Help line, Rick stated that the 25% underdrive pulleys are recommended for lower horsepower applications and that "you can get away with it" with 450rwhp.

He recommended the OE size or 10% and even went as far as saying that there is not much to be gained from underdriving the accessories.

This statement goes against almost everything I've been researching online and this is coming from the company that makes probably the best dampers out there.

Any thoughts or insight into this?

Thanks

Default

i would not get more than the 10% either. like he said, you won't be gaining much power with the 25%. most people who have tested them say they get around one tenth in the 1/4 mile with a 25% underdrive pulley vs. the stock one.
