Default Howdy All, Got a LS2 installed in something different

Hi Guy's,

Just picked up my Ultima GTR ( ultimasports.co.uk) from the workshop fresh from getting a LS2 installed.

If you don't know these car's they are pretty much the quickest things around a track and make driving numpties like me look pretty good.

Anyhow I've swapped out an LT5 (truth was that is a great motor) for a stock LS2 so I can start the upgrade process, looking for around 500-550hp but would like it peaky e.g. lotsa power coming in higher in the rev range.

Don't like the thought of turbo's though as had a bad experience with em' in the past when I was midway through a corner (got on the gas too soon and....like I said, I'm a driving numpty so.....crash).

Have a few teething problems which is to be expected after a 11 months & $20K build but hopefully will be sorted soon then the next phase, Horsepower Hunting, can begin.

Cheers,
Rob.

Welcome! I checked out your photo album and the car looks crazy ! Good stuff. You can definately reach some power with that LS2.

welcome!

look into a forged rotating assembly to make it a 402ci. that with some good heads and youll well exceed 500 to the wheels.
