Newly painted parts leaving fingerprints
Okay, so I recently painted the bumper/radiator supports under my hood. got them nice and glossy. However, yesterday, a couple days later while cleaning, I pressed my hand against part of the support and left a big *** fingerprint in the clear. Fortunately I was able to buff out most of it, but not all of it. I used Dupli-Color Engine Enamel spray cans. Again, the paint came out great, just seems like I should avoid ever touching it.

the only times i've had problems with that were when i painted too heavily. the surface dries, and it seems like its all good, but it hasn't dried 100% of the way through, so when you apply to much pressure you leave prints.
now i just do light coats, using just enough for the overall job (not overkill), leave good time in between coats to allow drying in between, and just try to give it a really good amount of time to dry. and when you think its good, test out a spot out of eye's view. that way if its not fully dried your print wont be somwehere in plain sight.

Is the motor still in the car and able to run?
If so, let her run a bit. It'll get nice and hot in the engine compartment (hood down) and that will cure your paint for you.
Remember, HEAT and AIRFLOW is what will dry/cure paint the quickest.

Agreed. Duplicolor is a great product but you really have to let it cure by leaving it in the sun (parts you take off) or getting them hot via the engine. After a week of curing you are still seeing prints, you may have defective paint.
