07 ss impala paint job
hey forum i was wondering how much it would be to repaint my impala laser blue metallic instead of the color is now?! would i have to take it to the dealership or good old maaco ?

dont take it to maaco ask around find a local body shop. it wont be cheap because of the color and you have to paint all the jambs so you have to take eveything apart.

To better answer your question do some searching. I found a couple guys in Tampa. I think i've settled on one. He's going to paint my SS for $1200+body work which is only 3-4 little dings. That's black respray, base coat/clear coat using PPG paint.

He's told me and I dont recall. It's not going to be a fancy job. Just a sand, primer, respray. I'll be happy if it matches factory quality. The paint on my SS is flat gone. I got it that way when I bought it from my mother in law.

I've been looking all over the central florida region. This guy has his own paint booth and does it on the side. I've received several quotes. What it boils down to is that I have been sent to this guy by several people who have used him. We spoke further about it and we've chosen the PPG Shopline for my project. Now before all the primo painters come in here saying I need something better, I have zero intention for this to be a show car. The cars paint is in VERY rough shape. Probably worse than your used to seeing. Here is a thread to a car he is painting right now.
