Paging people with 3.73's in an M6
I know most say that it isn't worth it and just to go with a 4.10 but I got a set dirt cheap (I didn't really want 4.10's in a stock rear either) and I was wondering what gains people were seeing with these gears in the 1/4 (ET and MPH changes)...
Thanks,
Chris

i had 3.73's,now i have 4.11's in my 01 m6. the 3.73's were ok,the car will pull a little harder,i did'nt beat my best times but the car always ran closer to my best.i also had more when racing for top out. at 80 mph i was on 1,800-1,850rpm's and i feel if you don't have a 12bolt they are the better gear to go with. goodluck to ya.

I had 4.10s in my car and now I have 3.73's. On Eagle F1's at 15psi, my car would never ever hook up with 4.10s, and I don't have a 12bolt yet so I went with 3.73s and I street race more than I go to the track so I usually dont back out til about 140 and 3.73s are way better for that. Whenever I have the money for a 12bolt, I'll probably get 4.11s, but 3.73s are really good for a street/strip car. Also, the pinion gear in a 4.10 set is really small, and its easier to break under power. And an M6 is more likely to break drivetrain parts because of the shock. So 3.73s is a good bet, 4.10s in a 10bolt with a modded up car wont last long with traction.
