Default Swapped cluster, air bag light on

I bought a 2000 camaro that has had the gauge cluster swapped out in it. The owner said the air bag light was on in the cluster because of the swap. How can I get the air bag light off and the air bags working properly? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, there is a re-sync procedure that needs to happen when a cluster is swapped. The re-sync will copy the actualy milage stored in your PCM into the new cluster, tie the airbag feeds in properly and I dont know what else it sync's.

I dont know how to do it, but my local mechanic was familiar with the process and I'm sure any GM dealer would be. I paid $50 for the re-sync, but that was about 6 years ago.

Thanks for the reply. I've heard of disconnecting the battery and turning the key on for something like 30 min. At a time but I don't know if that's true or not.
