I just got done installing my monster stage three clutch and my quicktime bellhousing on my 2000 z28. when I went to put the trans in i get it to about 1/2 in away from the bellhousing. The dowels are about to touch the bellhousing but cant get it any closer. Anyone have this problem?

The input shaft isn't going into the pilot bearing. Try a little wiggle at the back of the tranny while you push forward.
