car won't start on 1st attempt
Hi i have a 2000 corvette (ls1 6SPEED) cam only/bolt ons and i notice sometimes when i try to start it on the 1st attempt its just goes VROOMMM..Its like the car doesnt even turn over. I place key in, put foot on clutch, try to start and VROOOM thats it. I then proceed to take my foot off the clutch and push it back down and it starts up the 2nd time. Sometimes it will start start on the 1st attempt but most off the time its on the 2nd attempt. I do have codes po134 and po154 which are o2 sensor related that im going to take care of immediately but i really dont think thats why the literally goes VROOOMMMM on the 1st attempt and starts on the 2nd attempt.
Any ideas of what its causing this or what the problem may be? thanks

The gear on the starter is not engaging the teeth of the flywheel. Usually a solenoid kicks the gear out so it can engage. Pull the starter off and check to make sure that operates smoothly.
