help
ok i replaced my motor mounts, an new gaskets on exhaust manifolds.. an cats.. installed same year only 20,000 miles on set of cats. my car has 136,000.
ever since i did this when car is under a load on the ground you accell.. her a slight maybe ping noise up in the front.. checked all areas nothin rubbing.
put car on a lift.. put in gear run give her gas.. on an off break.. wont do it..
in park or on the brake wont do it on the ground.. free rev her in p wont do it.. only on ground an under load..
only thing thatz changes is motormounts. an she can now breath well since the drivers car was plugged an given me a code.. now.. she has no codes.. but does this.. an it sounds like from the drivers side. up front..
with this issue still ran a 13.50.. but ive been told this car should be in the 12.90 range stock..
ls1 ls6 intake cause its a 2002, automatic.. stock b4c cop car

replaced the motor mounts, installed new exhaust gaskets, swaped the 130,000 mile factory cats with a pair of them that have only 20,000 on them. the car now has a sorta pinging noise to it under load.
does not ping when.. try to power brake, rev in park or neutral, on a lift running an in gear.
only does this when on ground under a load.
hope thatz better

much better.
have you done anything else to it? besides the motor mounts and exhaust? my first thought would be an exhaust leak since that's the most recent thing you've done but that's more of a ticking sound. are you able to post a video?

Exhaust leaks at the manifold usually don't make audible noise except under load, so it's likely that is your problem.
Loose manifold bolt(s), warped manifold sealing surface, blown manifold-to-cat gasket are likely causes.
