Going to be dyno testing some exhaust setups, input seeked.
Within a few weeks I am going to be most likely ordering LTs and other goodies for my Z. After a tune I am going to be trying out at least 2 exhaust setups.
1. LTs+Y pipe+Muffler w/turn pipe
2.LTs+mufflers+turn pipes
Setup 1 will be the "baseline" consisting of at least 2 pulls each as long as the numbers are about the same I wont go for a 3rd.
Setup 2 will also be at least 2 pulls to see what the gains/losses are.
I am interested in seeing what setup 2 performs like on the dyno the most. I believe what I shave off in weight, I am assuming 60+lbs if not more from tail pipe to y pipe would make up if there was some loss of power. I have already searched and there are people who have done and are running like this so I am interested in at least trying it out it wont hurt nothing. I have seen some good comments it as well.
The input I would like is..
1. Is anyone interested in me trying this out?
2. Has anyone else tried this? Or even better have dyno results?
3. What muffler should I run? I have mainly seen bullets being used.
4. Other thoughts or concerns.

The Y-pipe with a bullet dump with perform better, sound decent but loud if the car is cammed. and you save some weight.
I suggest dynomax bullets, cheap, works, sounds good.
you could try a X-pipe with dumps also. see what performs better, 1 muffler with a Y or 2 mufflers with duels.
also don't scrap that 79 z, give it to me
