Default V6 springs?

Well i just wanted to know if it is worth it to put some V6 springs on my car. I have heard that they really help the car weight transfer a lot better then with the stock springs. Is this really true or just a myth? I am trying to get better traction on the street so anything would help. Thanks

If you do this get 93-97 v6 springs.
98 went to a v8 spring in the rear.

Thanks for the replies. Yes i did plan on getting the 93-97 springs just because i have a friend who has them on his 96 V6 camaro. I didnt know the spring rates changed. But what i want to know is it worth doing? Will it help me out at all? Is there a big difference in weight transfer?
