Default Valve Cover Gasket Question...

Passenger side cover leaks something horrible

Just a quick question. When I install new valve cover gaskets do I need to use RTV or whatever it is? Anything else I should know?

I bought Felpro rubber gaskets...

No you dont need any rtv sealant. Just make sure it is lined up when your putting it on. You can use some to hold the gasket in place if you need to but dont cover the whole thing.

No rtv, just the rubber gasket should do.

Thanks guys. I didnt realize the cover would hold the gasket in so well. Got the new plugs and wires installed. !EGR !AIR and catch can installed too. I still cant believe ppl complain about plug #8. My hell was the plugs boots. I spent at least 5 hours getting those things off!
