Hello,
I have a '98 Camaro that I use as a Nasa CMC2 road race car in the Midwest region. The car is great but it apparently hasn't really gone into reverse for years. You can get reverse to catch if you let the clutch out very slowly and hold the shfiter up with some pressure. I can get around this one as the racecar only needs reverse in the paddock.
Yesterday in one of our races, I started having trouble getting the transmission into 5th gear. It is starting to feel like reverse did. It feels like it doesn't totally go into gear and if when it does it feels very notchy. It seems to go in if I shift very slowly. Where should I start looking?
Steve
