Replacement Valve Covers

Replacement Valve Covers
I would like to replace my valve covers with either stock ones or aftermarket ones for an LS1.
I see these on ebay but they look too tall to mount the coil packs on them. I doubt they would fit.

I see Jegs has some replacement ones too but, they have no holes to mount the coil packs on.
What do you guys usually get?

I would get the stock ones and get them powdercoated if you want something different. If you just want to replace them I am sure you could find a cheap set in the classifieds. With most of the aftermarket valve covers you would probably have to relocate the coils.

I removed the PVC and added a breather. So that shouldn't be an issue.
I just know that the previous owner didn't change the oil nearly enough.
When i swapped the springs i cleaned them the best I could, but only so much you can do. I think powdercoated black would look good.

the second pic is typical edelbrock being overpriced for stupid ****, thoes arent even valve covers, just covers that go over the existing coils and valvecovers....not to mention they look hideous. if im going to pay 219 plus shipping and tax, ill get actual valvecovers.

Just make sure that on the bottom side of the valve cover (closest to header) where the gasket fits one side of the aluminum extends further than the other. This prevents the valve cover from sliding down as its tightened. A friend of mine just got some tall covers offline that were no name and they didn’t have this. When you tightened them down the cover would slide down on the head and the rockers would rub on the top of the valve cover. Tried it a little loose and it leaked. The stockers are back on now.

All our covers fit without leaking or modification to F-body,GTO, Corvette Trucks and many more and give proper clearance to all aftermarket rocker arms available.
