Will standard SBC rods work in a LS1 (6.1 length)???? The rod journals are the same correct? and i would assume the wrist pin is the same as standard small block chevy.
Is a stock rod 6.10 length or 6.125????
Because i could just order Eagle rods in a h-beam standard and pay like $250 for them if they are.

Re: Will standard SBC rods work in a LS1 (6.1 length)???? The stock LS1 rod is like a 6.098 and yes, the journal size is the same as the SBC. (2.100) You can use the 6.125s, but you have to get different pistons to change the deck height.
I dont know about the wrist pins though.

Re: Will standard SBC rods work in a LS1 (6.1 length)???? You can use the Eagle rods (either 6.100 or 6.125 long) but you need to match pistons to them, for rod length and pin diameter.
