Default 01 LS1: Where to find the best engine assembly manual?

Where can I find the best engine assembly manual (torque specs, clearances, etc) for a complete engine? Its a 2001 Camaro LS1 that is the LS6 block (that shouldn't affect torque specs though). I'm getting the short block cleaned up, honed, crank polished, etc, and I'd like to reassemble it myself.

If the only way to get engine assembly specs is from a complete car manual, that is fine too........but which one is the best manual?

I tried searching for "assembly manual" on here, and all I got back were manual brake pedal assembly results!! LOL

Thanks

http://www.helminc.com/

Accept no substitute, Helm manuals are the way to go. You might find a used one on eBay so it would be worth checking there first.

Which is the one I would want? I wasn't sure if I'd be looking for the powertrain one, or the service/shop manual? I was guessing the service/shop manual. Is that right?

You want powertrain...that's where I would look first.

Powertrain covers transmissions.

Shop/Service Information is what you want.

You want the vehicle service manual, item # GMP01F or GMP02F (they're the same, 02 probably has some corrections).
