If it is a double roller cam you will need spacers. You might call the guy you bought it from and see if he still has them.

More specifically as i've done more research I've figured out that timing chain i have is for a ls7 motor....will it fit on an Ls1?

If so does it need any spacers for the oil pump?

any help is appreciated.

I believe it will fit without a problem. The LS1 doesn't care about the cam signal on the front and as long as it is a 3-bolt upper cam gear it will bolt up. However you will still need spacers for a double roller using it on a LS1.
