If you mean to use the LS1 cam in the 5.3 engine definitely don't do it. Been there, done that, and immensely regretted it. It will take away bottom end torque and won't replace it with horsepower until 5000RPM's. I like you saw the increase in lift and duration and figured it would be a decent upgrade that costs little more than time. But the wider LSA and the unknown ICL also come into play and the 5.3 doesn't like them.

yeah, I am just looking for an inexpensive cam to put into the 5.3 to wake it up a bit. Coming from an LS1 w/ a F13 cam, I figure I am down about 100hp with the 5.3 and a stock truck cam. I am planning on building a 6.0L later this year, but until then I am looking for a bit more.
