Default Chasing no spark @ coil or plug

Bought an Lt1 car that was diagnosed as having a bad optispark via the owner "washig" the front side of the motor with his garden hose.

Currently I have no spark from the coil and then with the coil plugged into the opti spark i have non at the plug.

I have tried a new coil and a new ICM. I hae a newer opti waiting to go in but wanted to make sure I was fixing the right thing.

If the opti is indeed bad. it would still atleast send spark correct to the plug? or?

my idea was possible the rotor came apart and that is why?

any ideas or suggestions i can try?

No it will not spark at the coil with a dead opti. If the opti is dead it never gives the signal to the icm, the icm never fires the coil.
