Default LS2 Oil Pan Changeout??

I am changing my LS2 crate engine oil pan to a shallower corvette pan. Bought a new GM pan and all other related parts. Question: the GM pan comes with a nice metal gasket with a rubber bead vulanized to it. Is it necessary/advised to apply a small line of sealant on top of this rubber bead to aid in sealing??? Or, is this bead enough?
Thanks
DG

the sealant couldn't hurt.. a little overkill but it'll give you peace of mind.

I just removed old pan. Noticed GM used a whitish (teflon?) sealant in front corners.
Thanks DG

at each corner of the block a lil RTV sealant is all that is needed...Right where the front/rear covers , block , and pan come into contact.....Just like dapping a lil bit on the Main Cap side bolts. No need to put any all the way around!!!
