Default having problems with rpm gauge

I know the speedo is a regular when switching to a th350 but my RPM dont work at all my miles dont mark either any help would be appreciated .... any under the steering componets to look at or wires?

check the cam position sensor. its on the back of the engine behind the intake manifold and next to the oil sending unit. 99% sure thats your problem. leave that unplugged and your rpm will just sit on the dash no matter how hard you get on it.

lol ill have to check that out then lol ill be so upset if thats it lol which makes me believe u because i had a vaccum leak at the back of the intake so i took out the intake and put the vaccum line back on the back

U ruck are the man!!!!! lol went home for lunch felt on "her" a little and comes to find out it isnt plugged so ill go home plug it up and go back to see if it works!

i drove it for 2 days since it was my forced daily driver at the time. i didnt notice any driveability issues or even codes. i was expecting to see a code since i believe there is one for that sensor. anyways, my trans worked the same exact way it did when i plugged it back. glad to help out a fellow texan!
