New from IL
Hey Guys, I'm new on here but not to the scene. I figured I would post up a little about myself so I don't get looked at as a complete retard while I'm here asking questions and searching.....
I live in Moline IL, and started modding my 93 Probe GT about six years ago, ended up running 14.2@96mph NA, with a J spec motor(KLZE for anyone in the know). After that I supercharged it and ran 12.58@112mph, which seemed like a fluke cause my next closest time SC'ed was 12.92..... But like most, that still wasn't good enough, so I went turbo. Ended up running low 12's that way at high one-teens mph, with drags, so absolutely no traction..... Again, that wasn't good enough, so I decided to try something different and went Twincharged.
Best mph was 123.7, on 14lbs, on a 2.5L(completely stock block), but best time was 11.94@111.66mph(clutch slipped bad at about the 1000') and again that was at 14psi. But that same day at the track I went 11.992@115mph on only 10lbs of boost.
Anyway, I joined up here for the same reason I Join all the forums I'm on, it's always good to have extra knowledge on how things are done, and what is the new trend and what not.
My current project, is a 95 Probe GT, that was converted to RWD, and setup quite nicely. The original plan was to use my probe motor, but I think for the time being I would like to use a 5.3L. So I probably wont post too much, as I will be researching the 5.3 since I have never messed with any v8......
Thanks for reading, and hope you enjoyed my waste of your five minutes!!!
