Quick nitrous? 20* of timing and 5.3l heads ok?
Just a quick question?
I have MMS 5.3 liter Stage II heads and 20* of timing. I have TR6 plugs and I plan on spraying it on the dyno this weekend using 95 octane gas (50/50 mix) and running it at the track the following weekend. Is a 75 or 100 WET shot safe or should I get a retune?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

who did the tune? and only 20* of timing? i'd say thats pretty darn safe, but, you're giving up quite a bit of power. i'd go a touch more timing for motor, and then retard it using the standard nitrous rule. 3* for every 50 hp.

also its 2-3 degrees retard from the max timing before KR starts...
i can run my car at 32-34 degrees of timing NA, with no KR on 91 oct... i run a 175 DP that when i use it pulls 8 degrees of timing 91 oct in the tank and 100 octane in the fuel cell
