installing tach, where to find wires

installing tach, where to find wires Okay im a little lost as far as wiring my tach goes.
I know the signal is a white wire thats the #10 pin, but is that the one coming out of the pcm? or is it under the dash into that connector that goes into the back of the tach?
where can i find the dimmer wire? is it necessary to fuse the red wire? which source should i use and where is it?
there is something about a blue wire in the isntructions, about a shifter switch? WTF?
and is any ground in the harness okay to use?
