How to clean 'dull' headlamps?
How does one make the headlamps crystal clear again after many miles? It appears that they have very fine scratches in them. Some say to use plastic polish on them, others say it's on the inside of the headlamp.
Anyone know the cost to replace the headlamps, and/or the simplicity?

Dullness is caused by tiny nicks and scratches caused mostly by rock/sand and such hitting them when your driving.. the only way to fix it is to either replace them or polish out the nicks.. I would remove the headlights from the car and use a good plastic polish.. maybe even with a buffing wheel if you have the skills <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
Once fixed or replaced you could have a protective covering put on the headlights to keep if from happening again (it will).. http://www.xpel.com makes headlight kits for our cars..
Good luck

Try Novus plastic polish. Kind of a 3 step procedure, with 3 different polishes (1,2 &3)
Works great on all sorts of plastic, especially lexan, plexi....etc.

If you are a Zaino user, they have a mild abrasive polish for hard plastics such as the headlight lenses. It is the Z-14.
