Default quick disconnect plastic bushing worn out

i ordered the TICK master, and the only thing hanging me up is my factory line going in to the trans. I can't get it out because the plastic ring looks either half way in, or like its worn down that far. It doesnt have the lip on it like it is supposed to. As long as i can get this thing out without messing up the female part (in tranny) its cool. Its saturday night at 7:15 right now. If i could get this done tonight, that would be great. If you can help me, call me at
256 - 4 seven 9 - 5 seven 86

thanks, Travis

That plastic ring is a PIA. Using 2 screwdrivers as listed in the stickies usually does more damage than good. I found the best and easiest way to release it is to use a fuel disconnect tool. I forget what size works, but is much easier and cleaner than jamming screwdrivers in it.
