Default Wet Sanded The TT2's

Big Thanks to Strobin SS for helping the easy part was the sanding.... Polishing these damn things were a PITA but worth it in the end.

Before

During..... A couple of passes of sandpaper starting with 1000 grit

After (Not 100% but close)

they look good in that last pic even thought there not 100% but i wonder if you could have a paint shop paint a set of TTII's to have the frosted look like they did back in the 60's and the 70's before they discontinued that finish and i wonder how they would look on a camaro?

Looks sick! i've always been unsure about taking sandpaper to my wheels... but mine are pretty rough looking from DD'ing and the fact that the clearcoat is shot so polishing is pretty much worthless once it rains once..

It was my first time ever wet sanding a wheel and imo it came out pretty good. I was able to take out some small knicks and imperfections off the spokes and lip of the wheel.

If I ever have to do it again I might try to go higher with the sandpaper and see if that helps with the polishing.

I tried and couldn't get it off.... I really wet sanded to try and remove the haze from the lip & imperfections and it seemed to work.

For info on the wheels see the link Strobin posted.

I use Mothers Aluminum polish and alot of scrubbing and didn't like that they were still kinda hazy so I switched to bling master and a Air drill with a buffing wheel attached to save my arms and the results came out great.

I thought about using a different polish and seeing if they could get better but I'm happy with the final results I'll have to post pics tomorrow... The spokes provided the biggest challenge.
