RaceStar Industries 15x10 w/ 275/60/15s..(with cliff notes!)
ok i have a dilemma or..maybe not, you decide..
i recently purchased 15x10 7.5bs race star industries rims...and a 275/50/15 tire...or so i thought! the tires came today and they are 275/60/15s....so that makes them 28" tall instead of the 26" tall tires i was wanting.
here's the dilemma...i have a h/c/i 2001 WS6 with a 9" and 4.11 gears. i've been reading multiple threads on the 28" tall tires and how to get them to fit. what are your opinions? will i have problems (ie. rolling the fender lip, BFH'n the fender well..etc.)
i have fully adjustable (currently perfectly centered) LCA's, panhard and torque arm..and a stock width 9" rear, and strano 1.25" lowering springs w/ Koni SAs....i need to know if you guys think i should run the tire, or try to send em back and get the 26" tire i was looking at. i haven't had them mounted yet to see if they fit because the rims aren't here and i don't want to have to pay mount/balanced twice if they don't fit. Any help would be appreciated. if you need more information about the car, feel free to ask..but i think i have covered every aspect that is in question here.
cliff notes:
15x10 x 7.5bs race star rims.
275/60/15 Eagle SS DRs (supposed to be 275/50/15s)
Strano 1.25" lowering springs
Complete adjustable rear suspension.
Will they fit or should i send them back and get 275/50/15s?

You should be fine with 275/60/15s. All you should have to do is bolt them on. They're narrow enough that with 7.5 backspace you shouldn't have to roll your fenders (though this is always a good idea to do on any car with a 10" rim) and being a radial construction the tire will not exceed 28" in diameter during burnouts or tire speed.

They should fit without any problems. I run the same tire on my car no BFHing was needed...i just rolled the fenders for some extra insurance but wasnt 100% nessesary.

awesome guys thanks for the quick replies. i'm still on the fence about keeping the 28s...but that's a lot more reassurance that they'll work. i was told i might have to roll the fender and i have a friend with the fender rolling tool so that shouldn't be too bad. i'll definitely post some pics when i get the rims put on!
