Default cooling problems

have a bolt on 97 Z.
I was wondering if it would be ok to delete the heater hose and bleeder valve that comes out of the water pump because i belive that the brass screw is stripped. So when car cools down is seems to keep getting air into the system. Also at one point a few months ago that same hose had a leak in it so instead of ordering all new hoses from the dealer i cut and connected a new hose using a plastic fitting from a local auto zone. all the heater hoses are just a huge headache. What do you guys recomend? car also has a EWP. thanks for all advice!!!

If you're okay with deleting the heat then sure, you can remove the heater hoses. Cap off the ports on the water pump (or run a small loop of hose if need be).

Only until it gets cold out. I realize the L.A. basin doesn't get very cold, but it can be cold enough to be uncomfortable.
