replaced my rack and pinon, now lines leading to power stering pump shot...typical?

Default replaced my rack and pinon, now lines leading to power stering pump shot...typical?

i replaced my rack and pinion about 2 weeks ago, everything was good cam out this morning to start the car and sure enough powerstering fluid resivoir empty, the lines leading to the power stering pump are shot now. typical after replacing the rack and pinion, mind that the car does had 140,xxx and it is mostly original parts,

i belive it is the pressure line hose, not sure though i know where its coming from but dont know the name

You talking about the rubber hose that attaches to the bottom of the reservoir and goes down to the rack?

Or the high pressure metal line coming out of the pump and going to the rack?

My lines that attach to the rack are 12+ years old and 140,000+ miles, they look perfect still. Only line I replaced was the one that attaches to the bottom of the reservoir and leads to my cooler, its all rubber. I just changed it as preventative maintenance while I installed an aftermarket PS fluid cooler.
