Is This Rare?

Re: Is This Rare?
me too, never heard of it. did you buy your ta used? does it have leather or cloth? if its leather, maybe someone did seat swap with a formula or v-6 firebird. i think tas are the only ones with articulating/lumbar seats.

Re: Is This Rare?
very strange, I thought it was one of those "madatory" options It's listed as an option, but you can't get it without. Personally, I would be fine with it. I've had to have mine repaired 7 times under warranty, and I never even used them! Let us know what you find out.

Re: Is This Rare?
I bought this car new, and the door code is AR9.It does not have the CD changer or traction control either but it's an automatic trans and it does have 3:23's. At first I was pissed about the seats but now I don't mind since it's probably pretty rare.

Re: Is This Rare?
Sorry not rare at all. We have quite a few WS6 cars here without the lumbar seats although I don't know about convertibles because they are all coupes. It seems that most cars that get tcs and rear cd changer are optioned with lumbar seats. Kinda like all or nothin'!

The car does have power windows. Who's we? How many cars? I live in the Buffalo NY area and I have yet to see a WS6 without lumbar with or without traction control. I haven't seen one pic anywhere on the net of a WS6 without lumbar.

Re: Is This Rare?
I'm talking three cars that I know of personally but keep in mind our city only has a population of 650,000 and I don't know everyone that has one. If it was summer, I would snap a pic for you but with winter here now everyone has put their cars away already. Coincidentally these same cars do not have tcs or rear cd changer. I don't know for sure if this is the only way you get a non-lumbar WS6.

Re: Is This Rare?
Thanks for the info. I guess that if I would have had a choice I would have ordered the seats and the CD changer but I bought the car off the lot new and the deal was impossible to pass up at $27,400 with a sticker of $35,500. The lumbar seats look better but I wouldn't use them. I have them in my Mustang and I never use the lumbar controls.
