can 93 computer/harness be converted to 94
Can I use a 94 computer and harness on my 93? What would be involved, I ask because it is a pain in the *** to tune and I don't want to chop up my harness to do a heated o2 conversion after my longtubes. Car is running like s**t with no o2s so I have not been driving it.

93 computers are different than 94. The connectors at the computer are completely different.
It would take a lot of work to match up your harness to new connectors for a 94 PCM. Better to get a 94 PCM and harness. There still could be a few things you would have to match up to the 93s body harness. You'd need schematics for both years to even begin any work.

I did the heated o2 conversion with about an hour worth of work without one cut on my factory harness. I have a 93 as well and many people do the same conversion as I did. I was just asking this in the conversion aspect and not the tuning part.

this is the conversion that most 93 owners use including myself. A little pricey at first but well worth the effort since it will keep your computer from going in/out of open/closed loop. Worth looking into wouldn't you say?

I have seen the conversion and might do that, but I would like to get a 94 harness and computer to make future tuning easier. I was wondering if it will just plug in or if there would have to be any modification to the harness to work with my 93. Are all the connections pretty much the same?

I did the 94 harness/pcm swap in my 93. It is very easy. You just have to move around one or or two wires. I just did this one and the car runs great and I am able to tune it with ease:
"Serial Data Signal" (Tan wire)
Connect wire straight from Cavity "M" on DLC port (diagnostic port) to 94 engine harness side C220 (F)
Here are some reference links from Shbox with connector faces and pinouts - http://shbox.com/1/harness_connector_faces.htm
(there is a tab at the bottom to go through different plugs). It is a straight forward swap. I have some low miles heated oxygen sensors if you need them (they are Denso's and have like 200 miles on them).
Things you will need: 94 harness, 94 pcm, heated o2's, 94 IAC and that's about it.
