it's ok i feel like an idiot for not taking a pic of these things so i could do it correctly. for the starter i have the negative cable grounded to the block, the one wire i question of where it is supposed to go is the ground wire thats on the same line as the sensor that goes into the oil pan. i can't tell if it goes on the black part of the starter or on the screw on the larger portion, it fits both bolt sticking out yeah i'm a moron

so it goes on the larger part of the starter thats visual with the starter in place? i'll take a pic tomorrow of what i'm talkin about when i get it back from the transmission shop. now i'm tryin to figure out the exact wiring for the alternator . . . gotta love dependable friends

so the gold ground that goes from the body on the driver side, where does it plug into on the alternator? i finally saw my buddies alternator and saw where i had the wires plugged in wrong, yeah that might have caused a problem lol still looking for a pic on the starter so i get it exactly right

If you're talking about the one that is flat and braided, it goes from the chassis to... hold on I'll get a picture.
Edit: It goes from the chassis to a ground on the block behind the O2 sensor hookup. And boy is my engine dirty. Good thing I'm gonna clean all that crap off of it this week.
