My Trans Am has always had a pop noise in it when you grab another gear pretty hard espsecially second gear. Its done it for as long as I remember but I seldom drive it or run it hard but when I do its got that bang in it. Its kind of like something solid hitting the floor board. And it seems to be in the back. I always thought the car was just like that until I got my Camaro. What could this be? I'm gonna check the universals when I get a chance but it doesn't make any noises or vibrate other than when you shift it hard.

Look at the tranny mount.
