Default HPT 1.0 help

ok guys im new to tunning so bear with me please.

i got me a second hand HPT 1.0 vcm suite softwear and interface with cables and stuff

i installed the program and went to try to scan my 2000 trans am and it was a no go it keeps sayin the it has an open port and nothing will read i have no idea so any help would be great and if you need more info just ask and i will try my best

I'm guessing you are plugging the serial interface in through a serial to USB converter. If so, you need to tell the converter to select another Com port. If your converter doesn't allow manual selection of Com ports, get another one; they are cheap.

Id got the their website and download the 2.22 or BETA 2.23 version, and try again.

Muncie is write, you probably just have to select a different comm port.

Did you install the driver for the serial to USB drive?
