Default Dropping Transmission

I want to send out my Transmission to get rebuilt to a stage 2 build from Tick Performance, but I've never dropped a transmission before. Is it a tough job for a one man army?

no it aint too bad. just put it up on jack stands or a lift if you are lucky, drain the oil, pull the torque arm , take the console out and remove shifter, unplug everything, put your jack underneath it and take out crossmember and bellhousing bolts. and slowly drop her down.

If it's the car in your avatar, 1 strong guy could take it out with the hood opened.

I'm fine with doing a T5 (~75lb) on a regular floor jack.
I really prefer having the ~$60 HF trans. jack for the T56 (~120lb.)

Ive taken mine out alone... and with a Pro 5.0 shifter I can unbolt the shifter from under the car with a 10mm ratcheting wrentch, no need to open up the console.

laytoncamaro forgot that you need to remove the driveshaft as well lol.
