Default carbed blow through!!!!!!

hey everyone, begining the process of doin an ls swap into a g-body and have long decided to go carbed! now i saw the post about the ls in a g-body and i'm sure fitment as far as motor will be fine! just got done building a turbo kit, in a mustang, with a friend and am all for turbo now! i've been having trouble finding pics of anyone with turbo blow throgh ls motors, or just blow through ls in general? usually because the motor is naturally efi, guys don't steer away from it especially when it come to tunning. i'm still very used to blow through carbs now and would be more comfortable with that! if anyone knows of any pics or links it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Default blow thru carb

The only turbo car I have owned with a blow through carb was back home in the UK, the Rover Maestro Turbo, a quick car with so much torque steer that you could feel the floor twist with your feet whilst accellerating hard, lol.

Here are some pictures.

if your used to tuning blow through carb setups, the LS will be NO different, so dont be afraid, just "get er done"

as far as ignition goes i'm planning on going with the stock coils and the 6ls box. juct curious to know if the tunning with that box is done with a laptop. we just got done building a turbo blow throgh 306 mustang with a programmable digital 7. i'm guessing it's like a cut down version of that for the 6ls? as far as the software goes? thanks for the help!

ive never messed with the 7 so i cant tell you anything about that. the biggest thing is that the 6ls is not set up to run boost. you can do it just fine but you have to do some math in your head as you go.

ok well any other suggestions! tried to look on msd's wedsite but the 6ls is all they got. ya know! only other route was ditributor with a better bow but obviously much more cash to do! i'm guessing the 6ls would get confused when boost pressure is seen it the map sensor rather than vaccuum?

it works fine. you set a base timing at say 10* is the least amount of timing you want to have at full boost say 10psi. but you want to run 30* not in boost so you have vacuum advance add in 20* of timing any time your in vacuum. on top of the 10* base. once you go into boost you can have it pull out as much or as little timing as you want. but with it set up like that you can only pull timing down to 10*. let me know if that makes sense or not im tired and im going to bed.

I run a vortech t trim supercharged blow thru ls1 with the msd 6010 box. I have the pro data software on my laptop and only use the map table with a 2 bar map sensor to control the timing. the rpm table is zero'd out. Works well for me.
