Default need help on my 95 formula

Hi I'm new to the fast car life and I hoping you guys can give me a few tips and help me with a project I got going on. I have a 95 formula and I put a 94 vette lt1 in it and was wondering if needed the vette pcm to make the motor run at top performance.

No. They are basically the same engine. It would actually be a step backward in the optispark department, since the 94 was unvented and the 95 was vented.

shbox is right, transfer the engine accessorie bracket and everything that you need from the 95 formula engine over to the 94 LT1 long block and also use the 95 wiring harness and PCM.

Read up on this link i always post it up because its helpful

internally nothing (4 bolt mains in the vette maybe?), vettes just had a less restrctive exhaust and air intake setup that gave them the extra "25" hp IIRC

I lived for years on a ODBI Style Optis (92-94) and as LONG as you do not hit the engine with a pressure washer or try to drown in coolant it will be fine.

IF you can, it does not hurt to upgrade to the newer opti as the vent has helped to a degree.

As far as PCM, you do not need it, you need though to make sure that the PCM you are using is Flashed Properly with the correct tune. This ensure any unneeded DTC's are avoided and the car will drive probably better then stock. Since it sounds like your going to be using the PCM that came with the car there should be no issues.

Vettes did have a Oil TEMP guage which I thought was cool but I do not beleive FBODY wiring harness had that wired in.
