how much power do headers add?
i have a 96 firebird formula m6 stock gears and all, and i have an cold air intake slp loudmouth 1 cat back with pacesetter long tubes and off road y pipe and was wondering what are the horsepower/ torque gains you would get from the headers? both flywheel and rear wheel wise, tuned AND untuned.

As he said no way. What I do know is I gained 17 rwhp and 17 lbft through my shorties with an X pipe, but I have 3" collector 20" long. Oh, that was a secret....

well i already have an slp loudmouth 1 catback as well, im not running cats with a 3 inch ory pipe so its pretty free flowing as it is for exhaust. and where can i find some 1.6 rockers? are they hard to install?

You'll also need to make the decision on whether you want to upgrade your rocker stud size, and whether to use self-aligning or non self-aligning rockers. A search will yield tons of info on the differences, advantages, and disadvantages.
For what it's worth though, if you aren't planning on installing an aftermarket cam in the near future, 3/8" stud self-aligning would be fine. All you'd need is valve springs (LT4 springs at the very least).

Ok, well then the equivalent of 30-40. Peak definitely not, but overall 3-4 mph is close to the equivalent of 30-40.
But those are the facts.
3 tenths and 3 mph on a hotter day from only headers.

I remember seeing a thread about going to from all stock exhaust to LT's, H pipe, 12 inch bullets, it was a 3 inch custom setup. On the dyno after a PCM tune it was 41rwhp, 28rwtq gain.
I would figure 16-24 gain depending on if your talking rw or flywheel. Than figure 8-12 for a tune.

If I only got 20 hp and 100 lbs. that still leaves out a tenth or so. Magic?
I agree 40 seems like a lot, but 30 is completely reasonable.
It's all bench racing anyway. Only way for facts is dyno proof.
I would say 30whp and some weightloss = 3 tenths/3mph in worse weather.
So for now, I'm sticking with my original statement which to me still holds true.

I wish i was the type to do one mod at a time to see the benefits! my car ran 14.6 stock at 3000'DA stock tires hardly any spin
added true duals and X-pipe 1 ch. flows
K&N cai and was running 14.3s(slight tire spin)
Pacesetter Long tubes added, madtuner tune,1.6rr 13.7(more tire spin)
4.10s and DRs 13.35 clutch problems on this pass which turned into catastrophic clutch failure.......No doubt in my mind i can run 12s up here, will know come October when it cools off..
