I may be getting rid of the trans am :(
I need a car for winter. I would drive the trans am and slide around as usual, but now I have a 4 year old and a baby on the way to be responsible for. I'll be getting a grand prix gtp. I'm gunna do a pulley, headers, cai, and zzp comp. It'll be able to take a mustang gt with kids waving by by and the wife yelling at me. I don't wanna sell my car but thats what happens when you marry a girl with a kid. I am happy to be his dad, his real one is a dead beat and has only seen him a couple times. It's sad too because he loves the sound of the lt's through the spiral flow and a dump right under his seat. He even leaned forward after we killed a wrx sti from a 5mph roll to 65mph and said "We beat you!" lol, that was priceless. A lot changes in 9 months lol, a single, stupid, alcoholic, who works on cars out of his garage, to a husband and father of two kids with a full time job.

Well it's not for sure that i will have to sell the trans am. I woul djust rather have a nice car, than a car thats not so nice and not so reliable, it would also be nice to have something that will not wake a sleeping baby.

You can get a nice condition Regal GS or GTP for $4k. that's cheap.
And like you may already know, they can be made stupid fast for cheap.
And if the TA is paid off then your car payments will only be like $100/month.

i DD a 99 malibu in the winter (and for errands and what not in the summer too since the t/a has collectors insurance). I wouldn't dream of selling my t/a just for a car to drive year round here. they use salt everywhere so it's pretty much guaranteed whatever you drive in the winter will eventually end up a rustbucket. since my t/a is a southern rust free car, i refuse to put it through all that.

Ya it looks like I'll be able to have both. I did drive the car for like 3 hours the other day. It's got 111k on the ticker but is in mind condition and was a one owner my a middle aged woman, who lived here in Colorado. So its been in Colorado its whole life and is totally rust free and mint everywhere. The only thing wrong is the backlight to the cd player is out, but you can see it in the HUD till i fix it. If you turn on the "performance shift" button and the the tcs off, it will spin the tires through an intersection, and its bone stock. I'm gunna do the 3.4" pulley, headers, cai, and a zzp comp. It will be able to kill a mustang gt easy. It also has new brakes and winter tires.
