87 IROC 5.3/w th350 budget build
Well where to start? So about 5 yrs. ago I bought this car and have basically put it on the back burner for the last 4 of 5 years. My original goal for this car was a turbo 6.0 with a t-56 behind it. But things, or should I say finances have given me the chance to put some money and time into the car.
So about a month ago I called a friend of mine and he got me into a complete 5.3 with ecu, harness for cheap so I jumped on it. Then I talked to another friend of mine had some parts for sale. LS6 intake, 42# injectors, psi valve springs, corvette water pump and idler pulley, throttle body, billet fuel rails. So then I came on here and tried to find a ls6 cam for cheap in the classifieds. I ended up with a 98 ls1 cam for $40. 500 lift with a good lsa for some spray hehe. This was the plan with the NO2, because I was just gonna slam this thing together and make it a runner asap. Things have changed, and I am looking to be running the 5.3 with the truck manifold setup. Now I haven't heard of anyone doing this in a 3rd gen yet but I'm sure someone has done it or has input on this setup.
So over the next 6 months I should be able to get this build done I hope in all my spare time. I will be posting pics but have to learn how first. So for now wish me luck, and I will keep you all as up to date as I can.

One of the things that I am not set on is the use of the th350 that I have. I would really like to run a t-56. But I already have the th350 and its set up for a camaro with a torque arm. What do you guys think auto or manual?

T56's are still expensive compared to TH350's, but the TH350 will work using the crank adapter
